Appraisal & revalidation toolkit
Collect structured patient and colleague (multi-source) feedback to support your GMC appraisal and revalidation — gathered anonymously and independently, collated into a clear report, and exportable for your portfolio.
✓ Built on the GMC's questionnaires. The patient and colleague questionnaires are based on the GMC's published feedback questionnaires, mapped to Good Medical Practice, with additional context and demographic questions — independently and anonymously administered, and collated into a portfolio-ready report.
🔒 Separate from your public reviews. Appraisal feedback is confidential portfolio evidence only. It is never published on your Vuemedics profile, you can never see who said what, and it is collected under a different consent from a public review.
What the GMC asks for
• Patient and colleague feedback at least once per 5-year cycle.
• A standardised questionnaire mapped to Good Medical Practice.
• Independently administered & anonymised — responses are collected centrally, shown only in aggregate, and you can't see who said what or edit or remove feedback once it's received.
• A practical working minimum of around 20 patient responses (aiming for 30) and 12 colleague responses — providers vary, so confirm the target with your Responsible Officer.
• Colleagues should span a range of roles, not just fellow consultants.
How Vuemedics meets it
✓ We collect and collate centrally — responses are anonymised and you only ever see aggregates.
✓ Patient (PQ) & colleague (CQ) questionnaires with charts, a response-distribution breakdown and your self-assessment.
✓ Track responses, send reminders, and close a round when you're ready.
✓ Export a collated PDF for your portfolio (e.g. FourteenFish).
Acceptability of supporting information for appraisal ultimately rests with your Responsible Officer and designated body.
