Safe Reply
Someone has reviewed you online and you want to respond โ without breaching confidentiality. Answer three questions and get a response strategy with copy-paste templates, aligned with the published guidance of the UK defence organisations.
๐ Runs entirely in your browser โ nothing you enter is sent to us or anyone else.
The three rules that never change
- Never confirm or deny that the reviewer is your patient. Even "thanks for visiting us" can be a confidentiality breach. Reply as if to the public, not to them.
- Never discuss care in public. No clinical details, no dates, no "as we explained at your appointment". Move every substantive conversation to a private, formal channel.
- Never reply on the same day you read it. Draft, sleep, re-read, then post โ or run it past your defence organisation first. A bad review fades; a bad reply is screenshotted forever.
This tool is general guidance, not legal or medico-legal advice. For anything contentious, contact your defence organisation โ that's what your subscription is for: MDU guidance ยท MPS guidance ยท MDDUS.
Prefer reviews with guardrails built in?
On Vuemedics, every review is invitation-only and independently moderated, and your free right of reply comes with confidentiality prompts built into the flow โ so responding safely is the default, not a tightrope.
